NMC Container Lines Inc. has awarded contract to SVM Solutions & Technologies Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Solverminds based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, to implement the company’s flagship application SVM LRP/ARP © Liner and Agency Resources Planning system for use by its network of offices in the Philippines.

NMC Container Lines, Inc., a business unit of Magsaysay Transport & Logistic group has today signed a contract with SVM Solutions & Technologies of Malaysia, a subsidiary of SOLVERMINDS, India to implement company’s flagship applications SVM LRP/ARP © Liner and Agency Resources Planning and SVM VAP © Vessel Auto Plan system to help improve assets utilization, increase operation efficiencies and reducing operating cost. The system will be commissioned for all its offices and agencies network in the Philippines. |

Mr. Roberto A. Umali, President of NMC Container Lines explained “we evaluated a number of other solutions available in the market over pass few months and finally selected SOLVERMINDS solution as it has all the functions that we were looking for to help manage our core liner shipping competencies within the head office and agency offices, from ship stowage planning, shipment order processing and fulfillment to internet booking and shipment tracking for our customers. The integrated solution is built in J2EE and scalable that provides us a single platform to collaborate with our agencies while reducing the total cost of ownership. Using the new system’s e-commerce capabilities we can help our customers reduce cost of doing business with us”. |

With the help of the new system, NMC Container Lines executive officers will be able to make better informed decision concerning the rates by analyzing the yield/contribution more accurately for every quote offered and shipment carried while at the same time able to monitor the actual cost incurred after the order is fulfilled. |

The SVM VAP © Vessel Auto Plan system is a container vessel stowage solution that allows NMC Container Lines ship planner’s to optimized vessel capacity, reduces shifting cost and improves vessel turnaround time at the port. The system is the first fully automated stowage system that is capable to auto plan vessel stowage for container vessel up to 12,000 TEUs with capability to generate single or multiple plans with various user defined operations constraints for comparison to ensure optimal stowage is achieved without sacrificing the safety aspect of the vessel. |

A division of Magsaysay Transport & Logistic group, the company operates a fleet of vessels that are compliant to International Safety Management (ISM) certification for complying with the ISM code as prescribed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and are classed by the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).
