Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operation Research Analyst – Intern to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operation research,mathematical modelling and optimization techniques as well as excellent communication and keen attention to detail.
Job Experience and Education Requirements
Duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Model Development: Develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms to support decision-making processes.
- Optimization: Apply optimization techniques to improve operational efficiency and resource allocation.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports, visualizations, and recommendations based on your analysis.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide actionable insights.
- Research: Stay updated with the latest developments in operations research and analytics methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Knowledge of optimization techniques and mathematical modeling.
- Knowledge with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- No prior professional experience required; internships or academic projects related to operations research are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Master or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
